Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Samroid Apps ("we", "us") governing your use of the NutriIQ mobile application ("the app"). By downloading or using NutriIQ, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. What NutriIQ does

NutriIQ lets you photograph a meal and receive an AI-generated estimate of its nutritional content, and lets you log health metrics such as weight, waist, glucose and water intake. Meal analysis is produced by a third-party AI service (Google's Gemini API).

3. Not medical or professional advice

The app's outputs — including calories, macronutrients, glycemic index/load, "diabetic suitability", and any tips or recommendations — are automated estimates and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not make medication, insulin, or clinical decisions based on the app. If you have a health condition, consult your doctor or a registered dietitian. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

4. Accuracy of AI estimates

Food recognition and portion estimation are inherently approximate and depend on image quality, lighting, and how a dish is prepared. You are responsible for reviewing and, where possible, correcting the results before relying on them. We do not warrant that any estimate is accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.

5. Your account

NutriIQ requires you to sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping access to that account secure. You may delete your NutriIQ account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription — see below.

6. Subscriptions, free trial and billing

• NutriIQ Pro is a paid subscription. Plans and prices are shown in the app before you purchase and may vary by country.
• Free trial: new users may be offered a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription and you will be charged.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Payment & refunds: all purchases are processed by Google Play. We never receive your card details. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's refund policy; we do not process payments and cannot issue refunds outside that process.
• Fair use: unlimited scanning is subject to a generous daily limit to keep the service sustainable and prevent abuse. Normal use is unaffected. We may adjust the limit.

7. Acceptable use

• Use the app only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent permitted by law.
• Do not misuse the app or interfere with its intended operation.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use.

8. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the photos and information you add. By using the analysis feature, you authorize the app to transmit your meal photo and relevant profile context to Google's Gemini API for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for keeping your own device and any backups secure; your data is stored locally on your device.

9. Intellectual property

The app, its name, design, and original content are owned by Samroid Apps and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app; no other rights are granted.

10. Third-party services

The app relies on Google's Gemini API (meal analysis), Google Firebase Authentication (sign-in), Google Play (billing) and RevenueCat (subscription management), and is distributed through Google Play. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and policies, which we do not control.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samroid Apps will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes, arising from your use of or inability to use the app or reliance on its estimates.

13. Data loss

Because your data is stored on your device, uninstalling the app, changing devices, or a device failure may result in permanent loss of your data. We are not responsible for such loss; keep your own backups where important to you.

14. Updates and changes

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Termination

You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time.

16. Governing law

NutriIQ is offered to users internationally. These Terms will be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which Samroid Apps operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your country of residence. (Note for the publisher: for enforceability you may wish to name a specific governing country/state here — e.g. your country of residence or registration.)

17. Severability & entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the app.
